Long ago, in ancient Greece, a theory of medicine was born that strongly influenced Western medical care for roughly 2000 years. Today it seems fantastical and obviously based on flawed assumptions. Nevertheless, it persisted as medical doctrine up until the mid-1800’s. In today’s episode, Dr. Lynne will explain the weird theory of the four humours.
